Advancing Our Mission, Changing Lives

Pablove Shutterbugs

Pablove Shutterbugs & Volunteers in the Community

Pablove Shutterbugs is a transformative photography program that empowers children and teens living with cancer to find their creative voice through the lens of a camera. Through hands-on lessons taught by professional photographers, participants learn the fundamentals of photography while exploring their unique perspectives.

More than just a class, Shutterbugs provides a joyful, healing experience, nurturing self-expression, confidence, and community during a time often filled with medical treatments and uncertainty. Cameras, materials, and all program activities are provided to children and families at no cost.

Each child graduates with their own camera, framed prints and portfolio, celebrating their artistic journey and the light they bring to the world.

Powered by Pablove research grants provide critical seed funding, typically $50,000 for one year to early-career researchers pursuing bold, high-impact studies, especially those targeting rare pediatric cancers. The program emphasizes innovative approaches in areas such as disease mechanisms, genetics, diagnostics, and treatment development.

Since its inception, The Pablove Foundation has awarded 58 seed grants to researchers worldwide, investing almost $4 million in pediatric cancer research. This investment has enabled grantees to secure an additional $15.1 million in subsequent funding, amplifying the impact of their initial research.

By supporting early-stage, underfunded ideas, Pablove grants serve as a launchpad for breakthroughs that can lead to safer, more effective treatments for children.
